The Performing Arts Repertory Company

The Performing Arts Repertory Company (PARC) is a non-profit (CFC Code 65766) performing group in-residence at the Ballet Academy, Beltsville, MD. PARC produces original story ballets, theatre performances, in-school workshops and dance demonstrations. PARC’s intent is to present quality community based arts, make them more viable, enrich the community and encourage children to learn through the arts.

PARC Presents The Dragon’s Lair

Join PARC May 1st and 2nd, 2010 at the Publick Playhouse (http://www.pgparks.com/Things_To_Do/Arts/Publick_Playhouse.htm) in Cheverly for the exciting story ballet adventure The Dragon’s Lair, in which a young boy, Marcello, ventures into a magical forest and claims a crystal that belongs to a dragon. The ballet follows his adventures as the dragon realizes where the crystal is and tries to get it back. Read The Dragon’s Lair libretto: http://www.performingarc.org/dragonslair.html. Performances are scheduled for May 1, 2010 at 3 pm and 7:30 pm and May 2, 2010 at 3 pm. Tickets will be available for purchase online early in 2010.

The Charles Hober Family Scholarship

Since its inception in 2006, the Hober Family Scholarship has awarded $1,875 in scholarship money.

The Charles Hober Family Scholarship is awarded to students currently enrolled at the Ballet Academy, age 5-21, on the basis of commitment and love of ballet.
